French-door refrigerators are a perfect blend of functionality and form. They have stylish double doors that reveal an enormous fridge on top and a freezer drawer beneath. These refrigerators stand out because of their special features, including door-to-door dispensers and more expensive ice makers.

We asked Ladina Schopf - an interior designer, architect and the founder of LS Projects - for her tips on how to select the best one. They considered storage capacity, layout and energy efficiency, among other aspects.

GE Profile Counter Depth French Door Refrigerator

As its name suggests, GE’s Profile series is aimed at those who wish to incorporate cutting-edge technology into their kitchen. The refrigerator is brimming with features, from an in-the-door Keurig K-cup coffee maker to a sophisticated water dispenser. But these flourishes don't mask mediocre performance, especially in the refrigerator's freezer and an ineffective temperature-controlled drawer. Since this refrigerator is an extra amount, I'd like to see higher quality.

Other than that however, this refrigerator is a great option. It features a large freezer compartment, which is unusual for counter-depth French-door refrigerators. It also holds plenty of frozen food compared to other models.

Inside the fridge, there are 17 shelves and compartments. The refrigerator compartment is 18.5 cubic feet, which is the standard for a fridge with a french door fridge height door at this price. It also has an adequate-sized icemaker in the left door, but it's not the largest I've seen.

You can alter the shelving in both compartments to create a custom storage setup for what you want to store. The interior design of the GE PYE22PYNFS is also attractive. The LED lighting is a nice touch and the inside storage bins come with a third shelf that folds down so that you can store large items. The drawers have temperature controls that let you set them to Meat, Beverage or Deli settings. They're easy to open and close, but I found their textured plastic coatings a bit hard on the fingers.

The GE PGE29BYTFS Smart Refrigerator comes with all the features you would expect from a refrigerator in this price range. This includes Wi-Fi, app support and GE's SmartHQ Software. The app is available for iOS and Android devices and allows you to control your refrigerator from any place around the world. It also offers many options for customization. It will also send you notifications when the door is unlocked as well as when the fridge or freezer needs to be defrosted, and when the filter has to be changed.

It would be nice if the GE PYE22PYNFS included Precise fill which is an option that is available in a handful of other GE refrigerators that allows you to preset how many cups of water you'd like to dispense simultaneously. The fridge shows a countdown to show you how much water is left but it's not as helpful as Precise fill.

Bosch Counter Depth French Door Refrigerator

The Bosch integrated french door fridge freezer uk-door Refrigerator is a stunning piece of equipment. It's designed to appear like it's a seamless component of your kitchen. The fridge uses fingerprint-resistant stainless steel, which is a great feature for busy households. It also has a vegetable compartment that keeps fruits and vegetables fresher for longer periods, and two compressors to preserve food items. The ice maker is one of the best we've ever tested, and it produces a pyramid-shaped form of Ice with low use of water. This refrigerator is a great option for a single family or kitchenettes who want a built-in look and top-of-the-line food preservation.

This fridge was rated as the top in our Refrigerators Test for several reasons. Its freezer temperatures remained constant at just above 0° Fahrenheit and never fluctuated by more than a fraction, this is essential to avoid freezing burn. The fridge section of the fridge also performed well, achieving the desired temperature for initial set within a matter of hours and keeping that temperature steady over the course of our testing.

Bosch is known for its top-quality appliances. It's therefore no surprise that the Bosch counter depth fridge can be connected to your home Wi Fi and Bosch's platform Home Connect. The app lets you monitor and manage your fridge remotely using your smartphone or tablet. The fridge is expensive, but it offers excellent features and functionality for the cost.

While the fridge is an amazing appliance however, it is important to understand the limitations. It has a limited shelf space, so you'll require some creativity when storing tall items. The shelves are not resistant to spills and are easily damaged or stained by sharp objects. The trays can be easily removed from the refrigerator. However, they should be cleaned regularly to prevent the growth of mold.

LG Counter Depth French Door Refrigerator

The LG LRFLC2706S is a great counter-depth refrigerator that packs a lot of storage into the frame's compact size. It has a sleek, fingerprint-resistant stainless-steel finish and features thick handles that make them comfortable to grip. The fridge features an ordinary French door design, and two rows of shelves that can be used to capture spills and a set of crisper drawers. The top shelf on the right side can be folded to provide more space for tall items. There's also a full-width drawer to store deli items and an internal water dispenser.

One of the nice things about this refrigerator is that the ice maker is in the freezer, making it simple to move ice into the fridge for use when needed. The freezer also features clever design features, like sliding drawers that allow you to sort your things. It also has a huge bin that can accommodate plenty of frozen food and an ice storage bin.

Another cool feature of this refrigerator is its Smart InstaView panel. It allows you to manage the refrigerator's temperature, lighting, and more from your smartphone. It's a simple method to monitor your fridge and manage it, particularly when you're not at home.

The Smart InstaView feature is neat but it doesn't improve the performance of the fridge. This fridge took longer to chill food and defrost it than some others we tested. This is likely due to its larger capacity.

Another issue with the door of this refrigerator. The handles that are sunken allow shorter people to open them from the bottom. However taller people will struggle to close them without slamming. It would have been much better to have front-mounted handles.

The LG Counter-Depth MAX is a good choice for those who want to combine the advantages of a French-door fridge's aesthetics with an efficient layout. Its capacity is higher than average for a counter-depth model, and it cools evenly and has a great layout. It's also less expensive than the best french door fridge with ice maker counter depth refrigerator that comes with an ice maker, making it a desirable option.

Frigidaire Counter Depth French Door Refrigerator

This Frigidaire french door fridge on sale door refrigerator is a good choice when you're looking for a french freezer door refrigerator, link homepage, door fridge that won't break the budget. It has a simple design that's not as striking in appearance as some of the competition however it comes with enough features to make it a good option. Its most significant feature, the adjustable temperature drawer, helps to keep food items such as vegetables and meat fresher longer. It also comes with a large water and ice maker dispenser.

The "Chill Drawer", which is situated above the two crisper bins, is another nice feature. This drawer allows you to redirect the majority of the refrigerator's cooling power into this area, so that you can keep food items that require special attention. This feature is adjustable using a slider on the outside of the drawer. You can also use this feature to adjust the general cooling settings for the entire fridge, but I've noticed that adjusting the generic settings tends to be more effective than specific ones.

In my tests, the refrigerator's temperatures were fairly consistent across all areas of the refrigerator. The temperatures in the middle, top and bottom of the fridge didn't differ much from 38 degrees. This is a solid performance, but it does not quite make it to the top of our rankings.

This fridge has a few other neat features, including a temperature-monitoring display that alerts you to fluctuations and provides a forecast for the day ahead. This fridge can be paired with a smart thermostat to obtain more precise readings of the internal temperature of your fridge.

The exterior of the Frigidaire is made from grey-bodied stainless with a "smudge resistant" finish. It repels fingerprints and streaks better than other stainless steel finishes I've seen.
