Albums

Toto's discography includes 13 studio albums as well as 4 live albums. There are also a few compilations. In addition to the release of original music, Toto has also done collaborations with other artists and on soundtracks for films. Toto has won numerous Grammy Awards for their work.

Before the formation of Toto, band members did session work for other musicians. David Paich, the son of session drummer Marty Paich, and Jeff Porcaro (the brother of guitarist Joe Porcaro and drummer Jeff Porcaro) all performed on Boz Scaggs’ 1975 album Silk Degrees. The group's collaboration led to formation of Toto in the year 1976.

Toto's third album, Turn Back, marked an abrupt departure from the progressive sound of their previous albums, and was criticised for the lack of hit singles. In 1985 the group's singer Fergie Fredericksen resigned The band held auditions to find a replacement frontman. The band selected guitarist Steve Lukather, and recorded Fahrenheit in 1986.

In 1998, Toto celebrated its 20th anniversary by scouring through old tapes and demos to release a special album called Toto XX. The album was well-loved by fans and Toto began a tour with former members Bobby Kimball Steve Porcaro and Joseph Williams.

In the course of the tour for the album 40 Trips Around the Sun, drummer Leland Sklar quit the group and was replaced by Shem von Schroeck. In 2017, Toto released the double-CD set Falling in Between. It included tour recordings as well as an interview with the group.

Leland Sklar replaced him.

The TOTO Museum is a futuristic building that has several exhibit rooms devoted to presenting the story of the company and its most innovative products. Its exhibits include toilets, faucets and tableware that have contributed to the expansion of the TOTO brand over the past half century. The museum has special exhibits throughout the time of the year.

Videos

Toto has produced a number of music videos. The band has also released a number of compilation videos and DVDs. The most popular video of the band is "Africa" which has over one billion views. The video takes place in a library and shows the group performing on top of a book about Africa.

The track "Africa" is from the album Toto IV. The song was written by band members and produced by David Paich. It was a huge hit in Europe and other countries. The success of the single helped Toto to regain their popularity after their previous album Turn Back failed to chart in America.

After the album's release, Toto went on a world tour. The group featured touring musicians Lenny Castro, Shannon Forrest, Warren Ham and Shem von Schroeck. Steve Lukather also released his second solo record, Luke.

In 1985, drummer Fergie Frederiksen left Toto due to personal reasons. The group held an audition to find an alternative for Frederiksen.

Before and during the formation of Toto its members, they did session work for many artists. Drummer Jeff Porcaro and bassist David Hungate performed on the album Silk Degrees by Boz Scaggs which led to the band's formation. Paich played keyboards on Steely Dan records, Seals and Crofts and Sonny and Cher.

In 1998, Toto started working on an album titled Old Is New. This album featured three new tracks as well as a number of completed recordings of songs from the past. The album received a lot of attention all over the world and the band went on a worldwide tour to promote the album.

Toto is famous for their popular song "Africa" Recently, the band came together to promote their latest album, All In. The album, which was released on November 6, 2018, featured three new tracks from their forthcoming album 40 Trips Around the Sun as well as completed recordings of four previously released tracks featuring Jeff Porcaro playing drums and Mike or 안전놀이터 (Https://Chessdatabase.Science/) Steve Porcaro playing bass. The album also featured an original cover of Weezer's song "Hash Pipe" which the band opted to add after hearing a version on the radio.
