What is an Item Upgrader in Pokemon Go?

The item upgrader adds a brand new widget at the top of the Angel and Cash Upgrade windows. The Manager is priced at 33 billion Angel Investors, and has no benefit in terms of gameplay other than making it easier to purchase upgrades.

Boosters

There are many enhancements that can be obtained with an upgrader. They can include a range of stats, as well as numerous bonuses. These bonuses can be utilized on weapons, armor and trinkets. They can be used to improve the capabilities of an individual, or they can add an additional element of variety to the build.

In addition to the stat increase certain upgrades can also provide a random boost. These boosts can be quite valuable and should be considered when deciding on which items to upgrade. Some of these boosts are only suitable for specific builds (such Whistan's shield, for FB sorcs) while others could provide a great deal of value to specific collectors.

Some items have a built-in boos which is less beneficial when upgraded. For example the Goldwrap provides extra slots for potion. These are usually upgraded to increase the value of an item that is perfect or close to being perfect.

Costs

There are a few expenses that are associated with upgrades to items. The most significant cost is the upgrade itself. This price is contingent on the item's new ilvl and the amount of perks it will gain, and can be expensive. It can also be costly to upgrade an item to a better tier (such as Explorer > Champion, or Veteran > Heroic).

The other is the cost of the items required to upgrade. The items used are typically either Power Dices (dropped by monsters 21+) or Minerals and Erons (obtainable by completing certain Mists of Pandaria or Warlords of Draenor quests). These materials can be found in the inventory of an upgrade vendor.

It takes time to upgrade an item. Depending on the size of the upgrade, it could take anywhere from 8 to 12 hours. The cost of these changes is determined by the new ilvl of the item, and may require a special substance, such as an adamantine alloy.

Success Rate

The basis for upgrading items is the chance of success, and as with any random system there is the possibility that the upgrade will fail. There are a few ways to increase your chances of success. This includes the use of an item known as an Upgrade Pity, or the addition of extra items to the upgrade.

An Upgrade Pity is an item upgrading you can buy from the smithing NPC in Lost Ark. It increases the odds of a successful upgrade by some percentage. This is similar to the luck bonus that some items come with, but is more solid. It can be added to any armor or weapon, and can be used up to three times.

It is also possible to add a variety of additional items to the upgrade, which increases its chances of success. The materials are displayed in a window located above the + button. There are a few limitations. The maximum amount of material you can add is shown directly above the + button.

A Blacksmith Blessing, or an upgraded version thereof, can be used to boost the odds of a successful upgrade.
