If you're on a budget and don't want a stroller that doubles as a car seat carrier, the Babyzen Yoyo is a good option. It has a flip-flop friendly one-step footbrake.

It's also a breeze to push and feels sturdy when you're navigating kerbs and woodland pathways. It's also a breeze to fold.

1. Babyzen YOYO2

The Babyzen YOYO2 has earned itself a reputation as the most stroller that is lightweight, suitable for city dwellers as well jet-setters. This is due to its extremely nimble handling and fold-down design that can be incorporated into the overhead baggage of an aircraft. This latest version boasts independent suspension on all four wheels, made from Hytrel elastomer to 'perfectly navigate all types of surface and terrain'.

The curved fabric bassinet, base YOYO2 and the 6months of colour pack come together to create a stylish pushchair with a delicate elegant look. The base frame alone weighs just under a kilo and is so light you can easily lift it from the box (and do it using one hand).

It's also easy to add or remove attachments, adaptors, or adaptors such as the hood, for instance, snaps onto the YOYO2 using reassuring clicks and is machine washable to prevent staining from rice cakes that have been smashed and half-dissolved carrot puffs. The Newborn Pack and bassinet can be used from birth as a pram. It can also be transformed into a stroller at 6 months with the YOYO connect to additional chassis.

2. Evenflo Pivot Xplore

The Evenflo Pivot Xplore is a fantastic choice for parents who want a versatile stroller wagon. It transforms from a stroller to wagon by simply turning the single handle stroller, meaning parents can choose the option they want to use on their adventure. The wagon can accommodate one or two kids from 6 months to 5 years, and it comes with a spacious storage basket for all of your on-the-go needs.

The Xplore also has two canopies that rotate from the front to the back, offering ample sun coverage for all family members. It has a smaller footprint than some wagons. This isn't ideal for long drives or naps.

The frame of the Xplore wagon feels solid and sturdy but it doesn't bend like other wagons that we tried. It is also more difficult than other wagons to fold and it isn't able to lock securely once folded. It is easy to move however, and can fit through narrow 28-inch doors.

3. Delta Children LX Side-by-Side

This Delta Children bare-bones travel stroller is a great choice for parents seeking a second stroller that's affordable. It scored high in our Strollers & Multiples Test for its weight and folded dimensions, meaning it is best lightweight single stroller and compact when folded and easy to move and store into a car trunk. It also comes with a reclined seat that can be reclined in several positions as well as a cup holder for the parent. Other important features include two large hanging storage bags as well as 360-degree shock-absorbing front wheels.

It did better in our push and turn test than most of the other strollers we tested but is still difficult to maneuver over uneven ground or through narrow doors. The sunshades are among the ones we tested the smallest, providing only a direct overhead coverage and no peekaboo windows. The UPPAbaby G-Link 2 and Zoe Twin+ have much larger canopies.

The Delta took us just under 3 minutes to assemble with an average manual and no components required tools. However, it is missing certain essential features we believe you should consider non-negotiable in a double stroller like a large basket and reclining seats that have adjustable leg rests.

4. Maxi-Cosi Zelia 2-in-1

The Zelia is Maxi-Cosi's latest pushchair that is advertised as an urban travel system. It is designed to accommodate infants from birth until approximately 3.5 years old, and can be converted between a carrycot and seat in just a few clicks. It can be used with Maxi-Cosi capsule car seats and comes with the light Mico 30 infant car seat, stay-in-car base, and a reversible car.

It's really easy to manoeuvre and the one-hand reclining of the seat and the massive shopping basket make it simple for parent-tots to get the child in and out quickly. This narrow pushchair handled all day bumps and doorways effortlessly.

The front wheels can be locked in a forward position or allow them to swivel which helps when covering rough terrain. We allowed the front wheels to rotate while walking along an uneven path. It handled this reasonably well, even though it felt slightly bumpier.

5. Baby Jogger City Tour 2,

Baby Jogger is most famous for its three-wheeled, all-terrain, strollers for jogging. But they also manufacture a vast range of 4-wheeler pushchairs. City Tour 2 is their most loved model. It is easy to fold and fits in the trunk of a car even with a carrycot attached.

It weighs more than other strollers that we test, but since it has composite wheels made of rubber it feels solid and well-constructed. It is easy to maneuver on different terrains, and even with two children with shopping bags and other things.

The carrycot and seat both have hoods that can be pulled down to reveal sun canopy extensions that are UV50+. They are strong and waterproof, in contrast to other hoods for prams, which can be blown back into toddlers faces.

It's not the biggest of storage space, but it does have a large basket that's deep enough for a changing bag and plenty of food items. You can also pair it with the Baby Jogger car seat for infants who weigh 20 pounds or less (car seat and adapters are available separately). If you require a stroller that can be taken on the road, then the City Tour 2 is an excellent choice.

6. Nuna Mixx Next

When the Nuna Mixx first appeared on the scene, it stole the hearts of parents across the world. It's an aluminum-framed stroller which can be used from baby's first days to beyond. It comes with a variety of stand-out features including the ability to flip the seat from parent to world-facing, a large UPF 50+ canopy, a flip out eyeshade and a spacious basket as well as an adjustable handlebar.

The chassis comes with an integrated suspension system that reduces the impact of bumpy terrain. The wheels are constructed of tough foam, which reduces punctures. It was easy to push and our test driver was able to maneuver the vehicle through narrow streets.

It locks automatically and folds in just four steps. It can also be rolled and stood up for easier transport down the stairs or in the car's boot. It also comes with a travel system equipped with the ability to include a car seat or carrycot using the adaptors that come with it. The brakes have only one action and are color coded. They also can be used with flip-flops.

7. Babyzen Duet

This single umbrella stroller pushchair that is budget-friendly is extremely easy to use and has excellent dual suspension, a one-hand fold, and a handy carry strap. It's also extremely light and durable. The seat can be reclined into many different positions. It also comes with a double breathable mattress that's suitable for babies.

The canopy/seat has two large fixed or flip-out sun visors, both of which are UPF50+. However, the toggle closure isn't ideal it's not as quiet as Velcro and could wake sleepy babies.

The Duet is an angled stroller that can accommodate twins or siblings. (Up to 22kg per seat). It is compatible with two infant car seats and some carrycots. In twin mode, the seats can be positioned so that they face each other. They can also be oriented to face the parents. This should reduce sibling disputes over who gets seated with mom and dad. It comes with a big tray for gears, a bottle holder and snack tray. It also has a superior compact stand fold and automatic frame lock.

8. Baby Jogger Urban Glide 2.

The Thule Urban glide 2 is a great stroller for parents who like to be active. It's one of the lightest strollers you can purchase for your child and offers great safety features like a 5-point harness and safety wrist strap. It also has an innovative twist hand brake that's distinct from the lever-type used on rival models.

The seat is padded and provides a wide area to sit. However, the seat isn't as deep as those of other joggers (it's just 10 inches deep") The storage bin is encased with a zipper that keeps things safe. It can hold up to 10 lbs which is sufficient for the majority of diaper bags.

The Urban Glide 2 doesn't come with adapters that will fit the majority of infant car seats and bassinets however, you can use them from the first day with adapters that fit brands such as BOB, Graco Combi Evenflo Britax UPPAbaby. It is simple to fold and assemble in 5-10 minutes without any tools. The user manual is easy to read and is available in multiple languages.
