WoW Upgrades - The Item Upgrader

Upgrades can give you boosts in specific statistics. Each upgrade increases the level of an item by +3. A random extra substat is also boosted alongside every upgrade.

The upgraded gear typically has a greater value for trade as long as it meets low requirements (like the FB shield of the sorc) or a very high stat variation (like Eth titan weapons). Upgrades are less valuable for those with lower requirements because of the requirement to roll a perfect version.

Recycle Points

The item upgrader lets players upgrade their gear by giving the currency to an NPC. Upgrades can be applied on any type of armor or weapons. However, the item used to upgrade will be consumed for the duration of time and will not be able to be used again. Upgrades can also be used to create the enchantments.

The upgrader is located in all major cities and is accessible at any time to upgrade your equipment. It is recommended to visit the upgrader at least once every few weeks to ensure that your equipment is up to date.

Crests

It is recommended to use your Whelpling-rank Crests on the top-quality equipment that you can find, and keep Drake and Wyrm Crests for the next round of upgrades. This is especially applicable to rings and trinkets that take up multiple slots on the character that will be able to benefit from the account-wide discount if all of the slots are filled with top-quality gear.
