World of Warcraft Upgrades and Item Upgrading

Upgrades boost the value of certain numeric stats on weapons, armor and rings. Upgrades can also boost bonuses like Crit chance and PvE Damage.

For instance, a weapon with the upgrade template ending in % will suffer 3% attack damage every time it is upgraded (relative to its previous value).

The cost of upgrading an item is determined by the item upgrader mod's level. The cost increases with item's level.

Components

Upgrade components can be added to weapons, armor and trinkets to give them a boost in stats or to add an additional effect. They can be obtained through crafting, purchasing from vendors, trading with other players, or looting. Certain upgrades have unique cosmetic effects.

Upgrade components can be placed in equipment that has a slot to accommodate them; the item must be at least upgraded to the blue level in order for the component to be inserted. Unlike other mods, upgrade components can only be used once; they cannot be applied multiple times or replaced by new upgrades. Infusions and Enrichments are a type of upgrade component that can be used to upgrade non-amulet legendary or Ascended equipment, as well in some items that aren't ascended. Infusions and enrichments are recovered by salvaging gear that is ascended or completing an elite task in the Prophecies, Factions and Nightfall campaigns.

An upgrade could include a suffix or prefix, modifying the name of the equipment to which it is applied (for instance 'Canthan Armor Insignia" becomes Canthan Armor of Minor Vigor). Certain upgrades boost the Mark Rarity or Level of an item, which lets players create stronger versions with fewer upgrade crystals than they require to reach the same level using normal methods.

A boost upgrade can modify the attack or defense characteristics of a weapon or armor. These upgrades are available to be crafted from the Portative Forging Station once the player completes the cutscene and defeats the Crazed mechanic. They can be dropped by enemies while upgrading other gear, or by buying them from the cash shop for 500 upgrade crystals.

Each upgrade item increases the likelihood that a higher tier version of an item will be available in the next reset. This gives players a reason to upgrade their equipment even when they're not sure how much it will be improved after the reset.

The process of upgrading an item could be costly and it's possible that the item will be obsolete or even break in the event that the upgrade is unsuccessful. Upgrade Crystals and assist powders are also destroyed when an upgrade fails. Cash shop items can be used to reduce or eliminate the chance of failure. Certain upgrades also provide the player a bonus if they are they are reinserted.

Glyphs

Glyphs can be used to enhance the Paragon Board by placing them in sockets with special functions. Glyphs increase the power of all nodes in the area around them as well as existing affixes on equipment. Glyphs can be upgraded in numerous ways. We recommend upgrading them as quickly as possible up to 15 levels.

In the final game you'll often discover that the most effective way to upgrade your gear is to place Glyphs. They are the only upgrade components that can be upgraded directly to level 15 and provide a large boost to your power and radius on the Paragon Board, enabling you to climb higher nodes faster.

Glyphs, the only upgrade component which can be removed without restriction and replaced again are the most commonly used. The only exception is legendary equipment that requires an Black Lion Salvage Kit to salvage and replace.

The value of each Glyph is displayed when you select it from your inventory. You can replace it with another Glyph that is of the same or higher rank to boost the value of the Glyph.

Glyphs can be found in the Black Lion Trading Post as part of the Gem Store bundle or purchase them with certain tools that are unlimited in use and also during Faction Crypt Raids. Each Faction Crypt can drop one of these Glyphs. There are also some rare glyphs that you can find in any of the Faction Crypts.

Once you have the desired Glyphs You will have to put them on your equipment. Each Glyph will unlock a unique bonus that can boost the stats of a particular set of nodes that are within a radius of the Glyph. This will either be +40 for one of your primary stats or +25 for two of your secondary stats, based on the Glyph.

Glyphs boost all nodes connected to them, so it is Best item upgrader to place Glyphs in key places on the Graph. This will increase the impact. Druids, for instance, should place their Glyphs close to their primary damage nodes. They may be able to place them near their critical damage nodes.

Leveling

The item upgrade (relevant webpage) system allows players to boost the power of certain items by introducing upgraded components. This is often referred to as "upping". Each upgradeable item is assigned a level that determines the final statistics. Upgraded items can be upgraded until they reach a maximum level of ilvl 385. Each level of an item requires various components, and the cost of upgrading increase with each level.

Certain upgrades require an ingredient to be activated. This ingredient is obtained from finishing Upgrade Recipes. These recipes can be bought from NPCs, or on the upgrade tab of the crafting table. Each Upgrade Recipe completed yields a certain number of Technology points. These points can be used to level the item, and when enough are earned, the upgrade will be claimed and its additional bonuses will be added to the item.

When an item is upgraded by a player it is replaced with a different item of the same type. This means that the same piece of armor will be transformed into an weapon or shield once upgraded. The new item also comes with its own bonus. This can be a disadvantage because it can make the item more expensive if you do not need it.

Item upgrades can sometimes be rerolled, if the player has enough tokens in order to do so. This causes the item to be exchanged for a new one, with the level 1 base, and a different set of extra bonuses. This is a good idea, but should not be used frequently as it could waste resources.

Certain upgrades can increase their value, allowing players to customize their equipment. An excellent example is Dolphin's Gift, which gives an increase in power when a player is repeatedly in and out of the water (or does not swim as dolphins). This can be upgraded several times, each time raising the max roll by an increment of 10. This item is very useful in PvP. A perfectly rolled version can be worth up to 50x the value of a non-upgraded version.

Requirements

The ability to upgrade items allows players to upgrade the level of their equippable equipment--armor, weapons, and trinkets that are above ilvl 385 by offering the appropriate currency and items to an item upgrader NPC. Upgrades to armor set pieces boost the defense of the base set and weapon upgrades items increase the damage they deal and also increase their strength and dexterity.

All items can be upgraded up to five times, except for hero gear, which can be upgraded eight times. Every when you upgrade an item, it has an opportunity to fail. The failure rate increases the farther you go over the maximum amount of upgrades. Failures will cause the item to go to its initial state, which will force the user to pay more for materials than they would have to had they stopped upgrading at the maximum amount of upgrades.

If an item does not upgrade the amount of experience in its growth bar is reset to zero. Additionally the item will lose any bonus it earned such as crit chance, attack damage, and all other effects that are associated with that effect (for instance, an increase in heal over time or the speed of reloading). However, the player can continue to use the weapon or armor after the failure.

When an item is upgraded, the upgrades are applied from lowest to highest. This means that, if a weapon gains an increase in crit chance the increase is applied before any increase in attack damage. A new attribute known as Slots is now added to the item's definition and the value is calculated every time an upgrade is made.

The amount of resources needed to upgrade an item is based on its rarity rating and the number of upgrade slots. The cost of upgrading equipment that is not premium is equal to its value. For instance an item that is commonplace could have five upgrades for a price of. 25,600 Technology Points and a 4x Quality Improvement Chance. Hero grade items will have an incredibly lower cost for each upgrade.

Premium items might require different upgrades than normal equipment. For example they may require less sowels, however they may require more minerals and orons. Regardless, the player will have to visit the NPC [Armorthe ] Boboko in Central Flarine with each piece of equipment they wish to upgrade. In addition to the upgrade costs mentioned above, each equipment upgrade requires a different amount of the ingredients for upgrading.
