The Babyzen Yoyo stroller is a great option if you're on a tight budget and don't need a stroller which can also be used as car seat carriers. It comes with a flip-flop-friendly one-step footbrake.

It's easy to push and it is solid when walking along woodland paths and kerbs. It's also easy to fold.

1. Babyzen YOYO2

The Babyzen YOYO2 has earned itself a reputation as the most lightweight buggy single for city dwellers and jet-setters alike, due to its nimble maneuverability and fold-down that fits into aeroplane overhead luggage. The latest version comes with independent suspension on all four wheels that is made from Hytrel elastomer to 'perfectly navigate through all kinds of surfaces and terrain'.

The base YOYO2 frame along with the curved fabric bassinet and six-month colour pack come together to form a stylish pushchair that's easy on the eyes and has a subtle but elegant design and stylish branding. The frame itself weighs just over a kilogram and is so light that you can easily lift it from the box (and do it using one hand).

It's also easy to attach or remove adaptors or attachments such as the hood, for example, snaps onto the YOYO2 by clicking - as well as being machine washable at 30 degrees to help deter staining from rice cakes that have been smashed and half-dissolved carrot puffs. It can be used as a pram from birth using the Newborn Pack or bassinet, or converted into single gb stroller at 6 months old by clicking on the YOYO Connect additional chassis.

2. Evenflo Pivot Xplore

Evenflo Pivot Xplore stroller wagon is an excellent choice for parents who are looking for a stroller that is versatile. The Evenflo Pivot can be transformed from a stroller into the wagon by turning the handle. Parents can then select which mode is best for their journey. The wagon can accommodate one or two children from 6 months to five years old. It has a huge storage basket that can accommodate everything you need when you are on the move.

The Xplore also has two canopies that move from front to back, providing ample sun protection for all family members. It has a smaller footwell than other wagons. This might not be suitable for long journeys or napping.

The frame of the Xplore wagon feels solid and sturdy however, it isn't able to bend as much as other wagons we have tried. It is also more difficult to fold than some of the competitors and does not close tightly when folded. It is easy to move however, and fits through doors that are narrower than 28 inches.

3. Delta Children LX Side-by-Side

This Delta Children bare-bones travel stroller is a great choice for parents seeking a second stroller that's priced reasonably. It scored a dazzling score in our Strollers & Multiples test for weight and fold size that means it's lightweight, small when collapsed and easy to put into a trunk of a car or closet. It also comes with a reclined seat that can be reclined in several positions as well as an integrated cup holder for the parent. Other key features include 360-degree shock absorbing front wheels and two large storage bags that hang from the ceiling.

It did better in our push and turn test than most of the other strollers we tested, but was nonetheless difficult to maneuver on uneven terrain or through narrow doors. Its sunshades were among the smallest of all strollers we tested. They only cover the top, and do not have peekaboo windows. The UPPAbaby G-Link 2 has a much larger canopy.

The Delta took us just over 3 minutes to put together using an average manual and all of the components required tools. It is missing certain features we consider essential for a double stroller. They include a large basket, reclining seats and adjustable leg rests.

4. Maxi-Cosi Zelia 2-in-1

The Zelia is Maxi-Cosi’s newest pushchair and is marketed as an urban travel system. It is designed to accommodate baby from birth up to around 3.5 years, converting easily between a carrycot and seat by just only a few clicks. It can also be used with Maxi-Cosi capsule car seats, and comes with the light Mico 30 infant car seat, a stay-incar base and a reversible baby carriage.

The seat can be reclined with one hand and the large shopping basket makes it easy for parents to help their child in and out. Despite being a small pushchair, it was able to handle the everyday bumps well and was able to pass through doorways without any fuss.

The front wheels are able to be locked in a forward-facing position and can also swivel. This is useful for navigating through rough terrain. We let the front wheels to rotate on our walk along an uneven path. It handled the situation well, though it did seem to be a bit rougher.

5. Baby Jogger City Tour 2,

Baby Jogger is a household name for their three-wheeled, all-terrain jogging pushchairs, but they also offer a great assortment of strollers with four wheels. City Tour 2 is their most popular model. It is easy to fold and fits easily in the boot of a car even with a carrycot attached.

It's heavier than other strollers that we tried, but because it has rubber composite wheels, it feels sturdy and well-constructed. It is easy to maneuver on different terrains and even with two children with shopping bags and other items.

The seat and carrycot both have hoods that can be pulled down to reveal UV50+ sun canopy extensions. They are durable and waterproof, unlike other prams hoods which can be blown back into toddlers faces.

It's not a lot of storage space, but it comes with a large basket deep enough to hold a change bag or a large amount of groceries. You can also pair it with a Baby Jogger car seat for infants up 20 lbs (car seat and adapters are available separately). If you are looking for a stroller that can be taken on the road, then the City Tour 2 is an excellent choice.

6. Nuna Mixx Next

Nuna Mixx was a stroller that won the hearts of a lot of parents when it first came out. It's a stroller made of aluminum that can be used from infant's earliest days through. It has a number of notable features, including the possibility of flipping the seat from parent to the world, a large UPF 50+ canopy with an eye shade that flips out as well as a large basket and adjustable handlebar.

The wheels are durable and foam-filled which minimises punctures. The chassis also has built-in suspension that eases the pain of rough terrain. It was simple to push and our test driver was able to maneuver the car through narrow streets.

It folds in four simple steps and locks automatically without fuss. It can also be folded and repositioned for easy transportation down the stairs or in the boot of the car. The travel system comes included with the option to add an additional car seat or carrycot by using the adaptors that are included. The brakes have one action and are color coded. They also work with flip-flops.

7. Babyzen Duet

This budget single jogging stroller pushchair is extremely easy to use and features great dual suspension, one-hand fold, and a handy carry strap. It's also extremely light and sturdy. The seat can be reclined into many different positions. It also has a double-breathable mattress that is suitable for infants.

The canopy/seat comes with two large sun visors that are fixed or removed. Both are UPF50+. However the toggle closure isn't great - it's not as silent as Velcro and may wake napping babies.

The Duet is a stroller that can be used side-by-side and can be set up to accommodate twins or other siblings (up to 22kg maximum per single seat buggy). It is compatible with two infant car seat and some carrycots. In twin mode seats, the seats can be positioned so that they face each other. They can also be oriented to face the parents. This should reduce sibling disputes about who sits with mom and dad. It comes with a massive bottle holder, gear tray, snack trays and the ability to change mats. It also has a superior compact stand fold, and an automatic frame lock.

8. Baby Jogger Urban Glide 2

The Thule Urban Glide 2 is a jogger for parents who want to keep active. It's one of the lightest strollers for running that you can buy for your child. It also comes with excellent safety features, such as a 5-point safety harness as well as a wrist safety straps. It comes with a different kind of hand brake unlike other models, which is a twist.

The seat is padded and provides a wide area to sit. However, the seat depth is smaller than that of other runners (it's just about 10 inches") The storage bin is equipped with a zippered cover to help keep things secure. It can hold 10 lbs. It is enough for the majority of diaper bags.

The Urban Glide 2 isn't compatible with bassinets for infants or car seats as it comes, but you can use it right from the start by purchasing adapters for most seats by brands such as BOB, Graco, Combi, Evenflo, Britax, and UPPAbaby. It folds down compactly and takes between 5 and 10 minutes to put together with no tools. The user manual is easy to read and is available in multiple languages.
