Line-up

Turn Back, the band's third studio album it was an ode to the traditional sextet style, and a more consistent, stronger album with a sharper edge. Its more punk-rock sound was indicative of the maturation of group and featured drummer Bobby Kimball's improved ability on the drums and an improved, mature vocal delivery by singer Joseph Williams. David Paich's keyboard skills were also more sophisticated, sharper, and less derivative on previous recordings.

After touring to promote the album, the band recorded a live show in Amsterdam that was released as a set of two CDs called Falling In Between Live on Eagle Records. The group released a new studio album a few months after, and went on a tour around the world to promote it.
